Belfountain Conservation Area is situated on the Niagara Escarpment in the valley of the West Credit River. The spring-fed waters of this river sustain coldwater fish, such as brook and brown trout, offering ample angling opportunities. Walk along cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment and watch freshwater springs flowing down limestone cliffs.
Island Lake Conservation Area (ILCA) is a valued natural heritage and recreational resource within the Credit River watershed. The reservoir, created in 1967, controls water flow into the Credit River while protecting the headwaters region.This park features four seasons of recreation through its 820 acres of lake, wetland, forest and meadows. Trailways include the Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail, Sugar Bush Trail and Memorial Forest Trail.
